FitFocus Lesson Plans:

Lesson plans consist of curriculum expectations, a teacher copy of the lesson plan and a student copy suitable to be distributed to students. The FitFocus manual includes a copy of the following lesson plans.

Activity Counts
Students keep a record of all activities for a day, compare them to the guidelines in Health Canada's Physical Activity Guide to Healthy Active Living, evaluate the health implications of their activity level and consider incorporating changes to their day's activities to become healthier.

Family Fitness
Students plan fitness activities for a family, analyze the activity plan ensuring that meets certain guidelines, demonstrate that the activity plan is consistent a special health consideration and consider time and budget constraints.



Developing Lesson Plans for FitFocus:

Many teachers prefer to develop their own lesson plans. Some approaches teachers may wish to consider were discussed in FitFocus presentations at professional development conferences.
